Hello families,

Counselors have been talking with eight graders for the past few weeks about moving on to high school next year. There are many big opportunities and decisions to be made in the days ahead. Listed below are some dates and times of opportunities for you to become more informed on what's happening with the transition. High school leaders are preparing for Thunder Mountain High School to open this fall, so that for the first time. Our rising freshman class will make a choice of where they will attend high school next year. "The Next Generation" newsletter was mailed out last week to families of all eighth graders in the Juneau School District. Please call the counselors if you did not receive the newsletter, and we'll be sure to get you one. High school selection cards included in the mailer are due to the district office February 13.
